Neverending, eternal.....
LOVE, a 4 letter word yet beyond comprehension
This is the love,
love that is real, love that is true
higher than ehighest mountains
deeper than the deepest sea
wider than the universe.
This is the love that was and is and will always be.
This is the love that endures.
This is the love that surpasses all understanding.
This is the love that is not selfish
This is the love that sacrificed.
This is the love, the Father has for His children
This is the love of a King.
This is the Obedience of the Son.
A son was born,
laid in a manger,
no place in the inns,
no homes open.
In a manger, the King was born
The Son grew,
grew up to be a teacher.
Was recognised by a few
scorned and scoffed at by many.
Many ears were lent,
but a few hearts opened.
The blind were healed
The lame could walk
and many were healed
yet many ceased to see
many ceased to walk
many were sick from within.
The King rode in a donkey into Jerusalem,
With triumph and great joy the hearts welcomed him.
A week later, the same hearts turned against him
The same hearts cried "KILL HIM"
and so it was done.
Done, to accomplish what the Son came for,
Done, to accomplish the Father's plan.
The Son was obedient.
He walked to Gethsemane
And prayed while his disciples sat.
The son was disstressed. The son was troubled
He cried "Abba Father, everything is possible for you, Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
The Son of Man, was betrayed with a kiss, for 30 pieces of silver.
He was scorned at, laughed at, mocked at.
He was flogged, and whipped.
He bled.
He wept.
He was nailed to the cross.
The King was humiliated for all the world to see.
There The Son drank the cup of God's wrath.
He was separated from the Father,
"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"
"My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
The Son cried out to the Father
in Pain, in misery.
A loud cry,He breathed his last.
Wrapped in linen, he was buried.
The Son was buried in a Tomb.
On the third day,
on the third day He rose again
the spirit of God began to descend
That blessed morn
the veil was torn
look and see
the blood set us free
